- What are magic beans?

Technically, they're called Jack Beans (Canavalia Ensiformis). Jacks Beans have a lovely white, smooth appearance - which is laser engraved with a special message or symbol.

As the bean sprouts, the message becomes part of the plant. Magic right!

After 4-6 months, it will grow into a full bean plant with lovely purple flowers.

- How long will a magic bean last?

Unplanted, magic beans will last 2-3 years as long as they are kept in a dry, cool place.

Once in the soil, a magic bean plant can grow for up to 12 months or more. The message itself will drop off after around 4-6 weeks.

- Where are they made?

All our beans are laser engraved by hand in our workshop in Sydney, Australia.

- Can they be eaten?

Technically, yes, but they must be thoroughly cooked first. We would not recommend eating the engraved seeds, but wait 6 months until your bean plant produces its own bean pod full of beans!
