50% Cashmere- 50% Linen
Cashmere is the wool obtained from the fine inner coat of hair of the Capra Hircus goat. These goats are found at very high altitudes of 12,000 to 14,000 feet in the Himalayas and survive harsh winters by developing a fine undercoat. This delicate cashmere with a thickness of 15 microns is luxuriously soft and light; warm during winters and cool during spring. Cashmere is long lasting, travels well and becomes softer with age. Linen is a textile made from the fibres of the flax plant. A natural fibre, garments made of linen are valued for their coolness and freshness. Combining linen with cashmere in the Ayesha Cashmere Natural Curiosities Scarf has produced a fabric with amazing texture and softness at the same time.
Dry Clean Only
Cashmere is a natural fibre that breathes well in both winter and summer, lasts long and gets better with age. Linen too is a natural fibre that breathes well and keeps the wearer cool and fresh. As Ayesha Cashmere scarves are woven with premium cashmere yarn and often involve delicate weaving constructions and printing, we recommend dry cleaning and storing the scarves flat when not in use.
Limited Edition Artisanal:
At Ayesha Cashmere, we believe that a truly luxurious product is rooted in exceptional quality and exclusivity. At the same time, we are also committed to contributing to local communities, supporting heritage crafts and ensuring that our products are ethically produced. As a result, we work with our manufacturing partners in Nepal to source the finest cashmere yarn for our products and work with local artisans with years of experience, who specialise in weaving, dyeing, screen printing and embroidery. Given the intricate processes involved, we produce limited quantities for each design - perfect for the connoisseur who is looking for something really special.
Cashmere and linen, happy together! Constructed and then deconstructed, resulting in an amazing texture, feel and flow, this is a weaving experiment that delivers on its vision to create a scarf that is at once, soft, luxurious, creative and edgy. The name 'Natural Curiosities' celebrates the power of curiosity.
