I’m known on hardtofind for my… timeless toys and an uncommon travel pillow.
Right now I’m inspired by… textures and finishes. We like playing with how the product feels as much as how it looks. Being close to our production facilities allows us to keep experimenting new methods.
My favourite part of the making process is… after various sketches, seeing the first prototype come to life – it’s always very exciting.
I work from… a studio in Hong Kong, just an hour away from our production partners.
A typical day for me involves… preparing orders and replying emails in the morning, and product development and marketing in the afternoon.
My proudest business moment was… seeing our first press features, and seeing people’s genuine reactions at fairs like Maison et Objet.
When I started my business, I wish I’d had… better insight on logistics planning. It’s frustrating when products are out of stock and new stock can’t arrive quickly enough!
I’d describe my personal style as… minimal but warm.
My last purchase was… the latest Monocle issue on work-life balance.
The first thing I do when I wake up is… opening the curtains for that morning light.
The motto I live by is… “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
I’m hoping 2017 will bring… new products and collaborations!
