I’m known on hardtofind for my… Australian-made leather accessories.
Right now I’m inspired by… working closely with our leather craftsman – together we produce new design ideas and processes for our range.
My favourite part of the making process is… seeing our craftsman create the first prototype from my sketches and bringing it to life.
I work from… our office, which is located inside our Brunswick East, Melbourne factory.
A typical day for me involves… checking and replying to emails, preparing orders, product development and then marketing in the afternoon.
My proudest business moment was… spotting people wearing our designs out and about in Melbourne. Also, receiving our first product review from a customer about how much they loved their bag and how happy they were with the leather, design and that they loved the fact it’s made right here in Melbourne.
When I started my business, I wish I’d known… more about business planning and marketing. About two years ago I did a social media marketing workshop which was very beneficial for growing our online presence. I wish I’d also known to ask more questions, it’s imperative to find business and marketing-minded people that you can ask for advice.
I’d describe my personal style as… minimal and relaxed.
My last purchase was… Haigh’s dark chocolate-covered almonds.
The first thing I do when I wake up is… meditate to prepare for the busy day ahead.
The motto I live by is… “A little progress each day adds up to big results.”
I’m hoping 2018 will bring… new designs and international customers.
Everything tastes better with a little… sea salt, coconut sugar and an occasional red wine.
