Eri tries Bag2Bed, the beanbag that turns into a bed
With three kids, I’m often met with last-minute pleas for sleepovers, so I’ve found that my Bag2Bed has really come in handy. When it’s not being used as a bed, it doubles as a beanbag for the kids to sit on in front of the TV. And when I finally get some ‘me’ time, I love to chill out on it with a magazine. Best of all, they’re Australian designed and made.
Bag2Bed is the dream child of friends Lisa Mcleod and Carolyn Amott, who were looking for an alternative to cumbersome air mattresses. It’s stylish, easy to store and comes in four sizes – king, queen, double and junior. We spoke with Lisa and Carolyn who gave us their top tips for entertaining overnight guests.

What are your top tips for welcoming guests?
Good food and wine, and relaxed, comfortable surroundings. If you get this right, of course guests won’t want to go home, so you may need to have plenty of spare beds on hand!
What’s your best advice for a great night’s sleep?
Flip your Bag2Bed over a few times to ensure an even distribution of foam. If you are sharing with a snorer, the good news is they don’t have far to fall to the floor if you need to push them out of bed!
Any recommendations for hosting a great kids’ slumber party?
Between us, we have plenty of slumber party experience. Kids all love the Bag2Beds because they can all be pushed together for a shared sleeping arrangement. All our fabric covers are machine washable which is very handy after midnight feasts.
