Supertrooper: taking Scandi-style by storm

At htf. HQ, we love a bold print, which is why we’re swooning over Supertrooper’s Scandi-style designs. From children’s ‘MiniTipi’ play tents to landscape art prints, these creations are statement pieces that will work effortlessly in any room of your home!

Inspired by her Swedish heritage and architectural buildings, founder Linda Fahrlin chats to us about how her eye-catching collections are brought to life.

How does your Swedish background influence your designs?
In a country where it’s dark a large part of the year, we naturally celebrate the light, so I tend to use white as a base in a lot of my work. Scandinavian design often adheres to the values of simplicity and functionality, and everything is added for a reason, not just for decoration. Those values are as relevant in Australia as anywhere.

Which Supertrooper design would make the best gift?
For children, the new ‘Smalltown’ cushion or the ‘happy alphabet’ poster which I originally made for my son’s nursery. For the traveller, I’d choose something from the ‘Super places’ collection.

If you weren’t designing you’d be…
an architect. I would love to explore a larger scale and different materials. I draw a lot of inspiration from architecture.

What’s the best part of your job?
Doing what I love to do the most, and receiving an email from clients showing how they’ve used the designs and how they made it a part of their life.
