Becoming a mother for the first time is like getting smacked across the face with a huge dead fish. It can leave you stunned. I mean, you just made a person! And that person is going to be around for a very long time. With motherhood comes a plethora of other foreign behaviours: worry, stress, moments of pure joy, utter exhaustion, utter love. There is nothing you wouldn’t do for your babies, and watching them grow into little people is just a marvellous thing.

Woogsworld’s Mother’s Day wishlist

1. ‘He and I’ canvas print, from $120. I adore this canvas; I love the colours and shapes. And, who doesn’t have a wall that needs cheering up?
2. ‘Jubilee’ wool and silk contrast wrap, $90. With the weather starting to turn, I’d love this super-soft silk and woollen scarf around my neck.
