The latest colour trends in homewares

Is your home in need of a (budget-friendly) freshen up? Adding hints of colour to your living space to give it a seasonal spruce up without the added price tag. Beginning with a neutral colour palette will allow you to update your space with the changing seasons and trends without having to start from scratch every time. Muted colours, such as pastels, are perfect for autumn to give a relaxed and peaceful feel to a room. Darker colours that have been toned down, such as navy and Pantone Colour of the Year 2015, marsala, add drama when paired with natural-coloured finishes such as wood, hemp and linen. Soft furnishings such as cushions and throws add texture to a tired couch, while a coloured rug can tie the whole room together without being overwhelming. Add finishing touches with a coloured vase and matching print.
