Wall hooks are decorative or functional accessories that are used for hanging things. You can use wall hooks to hang keys, coats, hats, and other items that sometimes just lie in the house and become an eyesore. Wall hooks are one of the most underrated pieces of home decor. They’re cheap and versatile and can transform a room in an instant.

Hardtofind offers wall hooks in various designs, colours, and materials including wood, ceramic, and metal. We have different hooks to hold a variety of items. These hooks are perfect for organising your room or house. Our curated brands use premium quality materials and craft with utmost detail and passion to provide you with practical products that are also one of a kind. Our goal at Hardtofind is to provide you with unique but functional accessories.

How to choose wall hooks?

It seems easy at first glance, but when choosing a hook, there are important points that need to be considered. Here are some of them:

Weight of the load that will be hung

If you are planning to hang heavy objects or bulky items, you must buy larger or more structural hooks with good grips. If you want to hang smaller things such as hats or towels, then it is better to use lighter ones. It’s not just about choosing a suitable size but also optionally matching them with your interiors and style preferences.

Popular products from Hardtofind such as wall mounted coat hooks are perfect for storing thick and heavy winter garments. Place cardigans, sweats and hoodies, and ponchos on these hooks during the colder winter months. These coat hook racks are also more than capable of hanging lightweight pieces such as kimonos, swimwear, and sun protection clothing when the weather gets warmer.

Installation method

There are two types of wall hooks: screws and adhesive. Wall screws need to be drilled into the wall, while adhesives can be attached directly to the surface of the wall. Adhesive hooks usually have a much stronger grip than screw-in hooks, but they are also more difficult to remove if you want to change their location or use them somewhere else.

Design of the hook

This includes both the shape and the colour of the hook. It is important that it matches the style and decor of your home for a cohesive look. You can also find hooks in a variety of shapes, such as hearts, stars, and flowers.

The decor Hardtofind provides showcases multiple variants – from classic timepieces that resemble vintage and traditional culture to hooks that are modern in design. Be sure to check our collection often as there are always new arrivals coming into our stock!

How to install wall hooks?

Installing wall hooks is as easy as one-to-three. Whether you have chosen geometrical ornaments shaped like cups or more intricate designs like wildlife figures, the installation process is generally the same. First, plan accordingly and use a pencil to mark out the desired location for the button wall hooks. This part is crucial as this allows the markings to be erased if ever they are misaligned. Next, bring out a container or wide basin to catch the dust and debris that will later fall from the wall.

To save time, you can use a drill to create the appropriate number of screw holes in the door or wall where you would like to put the wall hooks. If there is no drill available, simply use a metal screwdriver and screw to create the holes. Do not forget to place the prepared catching container below the previously marked area when drilling the holes. This will result in a faster clean-up time after the wall hooks have been installed.

After the holes have been made using either of the two methods (electronic drill or manual screwdriver), place the brand-new decorative wall hooks. Align wall hooks and screws to the newly created hole. Gently tighten the screws over the wall hooks to ensure that your wall hooks will be sturdy and in top condition for a long period. However, it is important to be cautious and not overtighten the screws. Overtightening could lead to stripped screws and unnecessary damage to the wall and hook.

How much space should be between wall hooks?

The space between wall hooks depends on how large the actual ornament is. If the product is a rack of hooks for the wall, it must not be paired with other smaller wall hooks on the side. This is because the rack is already large enough and serves as the main piece for hooking clothing and other items. Comparatively, smaller and singular wall hooks can be paired with other small ones to complete a neat and eye-catching set.

To allow a coat or towel to dry and give these items breathing room, space out the wall hooks at least 8 to 12 inches apart. As for wall hooks specifically for hangers, place them at least 20 inches apart since a standard adult hanger measures about 17 to 18 inches. These basic instructions and tips will allow you to choose the perfect wall hooks for either you or the special people around you.

With the wide range of hooks at Hardtofind, there is a design for every part of the house. Shop now and neatly organise your house with wall hooks!
