Wear
Protect your jewellery from scratches, sharp blows, chemicals, extreme temperatures and sunlight where possible, both when wearing and storing.
Do not wear jewellery when sleeping, showering, swimming, cleaning, gardening or working out.
Apply make-up, body lotions, hair products, perfume and sunscreen before putting your jewellery on, as they contain chemicals that may damage your jewellery.
If your jewellery gets wet, pat dry with a soft cloth.
Storage
After each wear, gently wipe jewellery clean with a cotton cloth to keep it free from elements that oxidise.
Store precious pieces in separate bags so they don't scratch each other. An air-tight bag or jewellery box works best.
Store jewellery away from sunlight and areas of high temperature variation like heating vents or cars.
Cleaning
Frequent cleaning is recommended to keep your iROCK jewellery looking its best.
Gold/silver-plating
As gold and silver plated jewellery have quite delicate surfaces, they mark easily. As with all jewellery, storing them separately in individual jewellery bags is best. To clean plated jewellery, first use a soft, clean cloth to rub the jewellery, using a straight line or swipe motion, and not in a circular motion, to ensure pieces are not marked or plating is not removed.
If required, use warm water with a little bit of mild dishwashing liquid and rub gently with your fingers or a cotton swab or bud. Rinse your jewellery thoroughly with warm water and dry with a cotton cloth and leave until completely dry before storing.
If jewellery looks dull once dry, rub it gently with a gold polishing cloth.
Swarovski Crystals
A light layer of dust is most easily removed with a clean, dry, antistatic cloth. It is best to also wear white cotton gloves, so as to avoid fingerprints. For heavier dirt, lukewarm water with a little dishwashing detergent will suffice. Ideally you should use a damp and clean microfibre or thin, lint-free cotton cloth. Gently wipe each individual crystal and dry with a clean cloth.
Please ensure that when cleaning with moisture, only cleaning agents that do not damage the surrounding material are used.
