Up and down, up and down. It's mesmerising. How do they do it? How do they swim up and down, lap after lap? After speaking with many swimmers, they tell us they get in the zone, create their own rhythms and go with it. So in we jump. 1 lap, 2 laps and hey its been 5 laps and boredom still hasn't taken hold. Lap 6 comes along and little voices start to creep in; Im tired, Im bored, lets stop now. Then, from nowhere the voices evolve from yours to that of a famous German road cyclist Jens Voigt. This voice is full of encouragement, you're body isn't tired, its fooling you. You can do this, lets' go!
40 laps done, you weakly pull yourself out of the water wearing nothing but the smile of a champion.
We get it now, we did it, we loved it. Well do it again.
