ALBERT EINSTEIN print is a reproduction of a cover of Italian newspaper La Domenica del Corriere from 1955 reporting the death of Albert Einstein at the age of 76.
German-born Einstein was a theoretical physicist and philosopher of science. He developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics (alongside quantum mechanics), and is best known in popular culture for his mass-energy equivalence formula E=mc2 (which has been dubbed the worlds most famous equation). He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921.
Treasured for its stunning illustrations, La Domenica del Corriere (The Sunday Courier), hit the edicola every weekend between 1899 and 1989. It came free with the daily newspaper, Corriere della Sera, or could be purchased separately.
