Care instructions:

ABS handles are dishwasher safe, but care should be taken not to use abrasive dishwashing powders as these may dull the bright colours. Use the knives only on a wood or plastic cutting board.

Additional information:

This steak knife set comes with a 24 month warranty against all manufacturing faults. Faulty items will be replaced.

There are a number of makers of Laguiole cutlery. The styles (including the bees), colours and quality vary amongst the makers. Laguiole by Louis Thiers has been compared and tested against the cutlery of other makers for quality and durability. It has been found that Louis Thiers is superior to most in quality.

The stainless steel used in all Laguiole by Louis Thiers sets is 2.5mm thick. Most other makers sets sold in Australia are 1.5mm or less. The thicker the stainless steel the better the quality it will last longer and resist breaking. Anything below 1.5mm will flex when used and possibly cause the handles to crack. Thicker stainless steel also allows for a deeper mirror-like polish.
