TOUR DE FRANCE 1952 print is a reproduction of a French magazine cover featuring the 1952 Tour De France race.
This special cover of the French sports magazine 'Miroir-Sprint' for the 1952 edition of the Tour de France shows the peloton inching its way up the brutal Mont Ventoux during Stage 14.
It was the 39th Tour de France and was won by famous Italian Fausto Coppi. He won five stages and the mountains classification, giving him a final margin of almost half an hour over the second-ranked cyclist, Stan Ockers of Belgium. Such a margin has never been achieved since although it falls well short of the greatest winning margin in the races history of just under three hours in the first ever Tour de France held in 1903.
All our print images are professionally scanned and retouched from original sources in our collection and printed to the highest standard on 180gsm poster stock.
