Dimensions:

The pages used are slightly smaller than A5 and measure approximately 15.5 x 21.5cm (approximately 6 x 8.5 inches). There is approximately 0.3cm of black frame showing around the page, and the frame is 3cm deep.

Material:

The black wooden block frames are handmade in Northamptonshire using wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. They stand up by themselves or hang flush to the wall, and look great on a bookshelf. The frames are lightweight and contain no glass so you can feel the lovely old page. I hunt down the books in local charity shops and second hand book dealers.

A classic line from William Shakespeare printed onto a vintage book page and finished in a wooden block frame.

The lovely old yellow book pages are framed in ethically sourced wood and gift wrapped in a beautiful old road map. The quotation is printed using a hand drawn font made exclusively for Bookishly, and the original book pages make each one unique. Your page will be randomly picked from Shakespeare's Complete Works.

  • 4 5 4 5 Unfortunately the glue that adheres the foam core picture backing to the frame had come unstuck when I received it. I glued it back on but you may want to let the manufacturer know that the type of glue they use may not be appropriate for the heat or vibration during transit.

  • 4 5 4 5 The edging of the page where it had been removed from the book was all rough and frayed. I managed to clean it up a bit so it looked a lot better. I appreciate that the pages comes from old books however I bought two prints to be hung side by side and one had a beautiful clean edge and this one was very rough and uneven - it could have been easily tidied up with a guillotine before framing up.
