Tingsha cymbal is used to start and end a period of meditation or spiritual practice. Its used in meditation, yoga, massage sessions, sound healing, and sound clearing for crystals, jewellery, room/space, and chakras.


The sound is made by holding the leather cord in each hand and striking the bell edges together. To clear crystals and jewellery, chime the bells near them from one to three times. Listen to your intuition for the right number of times that is needed to clear the energy.


Tingsha (also called Tibetan Cymbals) are musical instruments used traditionally for singing, chanting, ritual offerings & ceremonies by Hindu and Buddhists.


called Toning is used to relieve mental stress and to reduce anxiety levels. By allowing the free flow of positive Chi energy, and warding off negativity, they can promote a flow of healthy energies throughout the body and restore strong brainwaves.



They are also used to prepare for meditation, during healing ceremonies, space clearing, and sound therapy treatment. By striking one cymbal against the edge of the other they produce a clear, pure, cleansing sound which can be used to focus the mind before and after meditation.


Now also used in many Catholic Primary and Secondary colleges throughout the world for meditation classes. Using the cymbals is as simple as holding a piece of the leather cord in each hand and gently tapping the two ends of the cymbals together. (not banging them together like traditional cymbals)
