CARE & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

The Important First Burn
The first burn plays a huge part in caring for your candle. When lighting your Mojo candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container. This creates what is called a wax pool. This pool helps to prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn each time you light the candle and ensures maximum fragrance.

Prevent Mushroom Wicks!
Trim your wick regularly. A mushroom shape at the end of a wick can sometimes form as a result of carbon build up, where the flame consumes more wax than it can burn. We recommend removing these mushrooms and keeping your wick to a 5mm length at all times. This encourages a more even burn and a steady flame each time you light your Mojo candle. Make sure to always allow the candle to cool before trimming. Using wick trimmers will provide the best results.

Avoid Blowing Out Your Candle
It seems unusual but you should never blow out your Mojo candle! This can cause the wax to spray onto your skin or table, smoke to fill the room, the container to crack or soot to form around the edge of the container. Use a candle snuffer or candle tweezers to extinguish the flame. You can either put the candle out but simply squeeze the flame or by gently dipping the wick into the melted wax.

Don't Cry Over Spilt Wax!
There's no need to fret if you accidentally spill some candle wax. The cleaning process is simple. Make sure that you leave the wax to cool and harden before trying to remove it from a surface. Once hardened, cover the wax with newspaper, paper towel or brown craft paper. Lightly press down onto the paper with an iron on a low heat. The spilt wax will then melt and be absorbed into the paper.

When To Stop Burning
We recommend a maximum time of 4 hours for each burn. Its also a good rule of thumb to stop burning your Mojo candle once the wax falls below the half-inch mark (1.27cm). Burning with only a small amount of wax remaining can cause the base of the glass container to overheat. To avoid cracks or any damage to the surface surrounding the candle, we recommend discontinuing use at this point.

Correct Storage Of Your Candle
To protect your candle from fading or discoloration, we recommend always storing it place below 25 degrees Celsius and away from direct sunlight. This doesnt affect the burning of the candle but direct sunlight can sometimes cause the creamy colour to turn yellow and the candle to sweat the fragrance on the surface.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Always store in a cool, dry place below 25 degrees Celsius and out of direct sunlight
- Care: Hot when burning
- Never leave a lit candle unattended
- Never move a lit candle
- Always keep out of reach of children and pets
- Place candle on a stable, heat resistant surface and avoid exposure to drafts
- Failure to follow above instructions could result in fire, hazard or injury.

CLEANING GUIDE TO RE-USE!:

Mojos Ceramic Candle vessels are proudly made by by our favourite Ceramicist Daisy Cooper Ceramics in Melbourne, Australia.

And guess what!? They are made to be REUSED or REFILLED!

Whether its to get a refill from us at Mojo Candle Co to continue enjoying its beautiful fragrance, or to reuse as a tea / coffee mug, vase, pen holder, succulent planter or for just for knick knacks, the options are endless! However you choose to reuse it, its going to do so beautifully!

Once they have been thoroughly washed after their last burn and the wicks metal base removed, these vessels are Food Safe, Dishwasher Safe and Microwave Safe, too!

So, in order to reuse them, they need to be cleaned first.

We recommend the first clean as a handwash - all wax should be removed before washing in the dishwasher.
We recommend using boiling water and a small amount of detergent directly into the vessel, not the kitchen sink, and washing the vessel out with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Like with the dishwasher, please dont tip any waxy water down the sink as it may cause blockages in the pipes. Caution should be taken with the boiling water and consider using rubber gloves to protect your hands.
The boiling water is needed to help lift and remove the two metal wick tabs in the base. If they dont lift themselves, they may need a tiny bit of help with the tip of a utensil (like a bread and butter knife / non-pointy knife so as not to scratch the vessels base). Place the tip under one edge of the metal tab and lever upwards. It should now move easily.
Remove the metal tabs and dispose of thoughtfully.
Continue to wash the vessel.
It is best to empty it outside (to avoid sink blockages) onto a hard surface rather than grass, where possible.
This handwashing may need to be repeated if the inside still has a waxy feel, especially if it to be used as a drinking cup.
Once it feels and smells clean, it can then be re-used!
If you are re-using the vessel as a mug, you may wish to put it through a dishwasher cycle, now that the wax has been removed, to eliminate any remaining fragrance that may still be lingering.
