Dont wash silk with chlorine. Silk is extremely delicate bad chlorine can damage it.

After letting it soak for 3 minutes, start plunging the fabric up and down by using your hand. Doing so will remove the dirt from the fabric. Now, take the fabric out of the tub. Gently pat the silk fabric with the towel to soak all the moisture. Then, you may hang it on a padded hanger and leave it to dry. This drying process will take a maximum of one hour.

You must be extra careful while ironing silk as silk is a delicate fabric. It is easy-to-burn. So, the best way to iron silk is by ironing it while it is still damp. You may turn the silk fabric inside out and iron it. Remember to iron on a low heat setting to avoid burning the fabric.
