Something Borrowed Co. jewellery uses Stainless Steel or Titanium Steel as a base metal for all jewellery. These metals are fast becoming branded the new sterling silver with their durability, lustrous appeal and affordable price tag. The chromium in the alloy makes them resistant to oxidation. These metals are considered hypoallergenic due to their pure nature and low nickel count.
Although these metals are very durable and hard to damage, like all jewellery, they are not completely scratch resistant. It is recommended that you remove your titanium or stainless steel jewellery when engaging in activities that can expose them to the risk of bumps, hits and damage.
Because the base metals are mixed with gold, white gold and/or platinum, it is not advised that you wear them in the shower or swimming pool to avoid damaging the precious metals.
