Sending your photo:

Upload your image by logging into your hardtofind account after you've placed your order and going to the 'my orders' section. We'd recommend taking a front on, clear photograph with a digital camera or smartphone. Photos are best when taken in good natural light, in high resolution, and without a flash allowing the camera to focus. We may need to crop your image down but please note that if your original photo is taken at an angle or your image is curled then some of the background or white border may remain in the photo. Please see image 4 for an example of how best to take your photo.

*Please note that both the image and wording on these cards are fully engraved. The engraving process removes the black surface layer to reveal the bare silver aluminium below. Removing these layers creates the lighter sections represented on the photo supplied. Darker sections will be represented by the top black layer remaining on the card. This is not a printing process and the finish will not resemble that of a printed photograph.

Each of our cards are engraved and give a subtle finish that has a unique display in different lights. As each image is unique, we are unable to obtain the finished result before making your order. More complex images with lots of colours or limited contrast may not appear in high definition, as the machine etches away at different depths. the final result will be in black and white/silver and colour images will be greyscaled by us before engraving.
