The page measures approximately 14cm x 20cm (approximately 5.5 inches x 8 inches). There is approximately 0.3cm of black frame showing around the page, and the frame is 3cm deep.
Handmade in Northamptonshire, UK, the black wooden frames are made using wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. The print is framed with no glass so you can feel the fine old page. The frames hang flush to the wall or stand up by themselves and look equally great stood on a bookshelf. The old books come from local charity shops and second hand book dealers.
A quote from the brilliant Virginia Woolf printed onto the page of a beautiful old dictionary.
"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well."
Never has a truer sentence been uttered. Food is fundimental to functioning; not only is it a necessity but it is also a giver of great joy in life!
This fabulous quote comes from Woolf's essay 'A Room Of One's Own', in which she argues the right of women to education and of independance from men.
