12cm x 18cm (approx 5 inches x 7 inches)
There is approx 0.3cm of black frame showing around the page, and the frame is 3cm deep.
The black wooden frames are handmade in Northamptonshire using wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. Theres no glass so you can feel the lovely old page.
The frames stand up by themselves or hang flush to the wall. They look great stood on a bookshelf. The old books come from local charity shops and second hand book dealers.
You can also choose to have your book page print(s) completely unframed. Please note the pages are delicate, small, and are not standard frame sizes so if you are going to frame them yourself you will most likely need to have a custom mount/mat made.
A quote from Jane Austen's classic romance Emma, printed onto an old page from the book itself.
"Ah! There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort. Nobody can be more devoted to home than I am."
How true! There is no place like home for truly relaxing and feeling comfort.
This beautiful print is perfect for a book lover who's a bit of a homebody. The definition of homebody being 'a person who prefers pleasures and activities that centre around the home'. Sounds like the definition of happiness to us here at Bookishly!
The text is printed using my hand-drawn font onto a original page from Emma. Perfect! The lovely old book pages are framed in ethically sourced wood and gift wrapped in a beautiful old road map.
The page is taken from a small a-format paperback and the piece measures approximately 12cm x 18cm (approx 5 inches x 7 inches)
