This pure, organic honey was created by the rare Ligurian bee on the most remote parts of the pristine Kangaroo Island off Australia's southern coast, a dedicated Ligurian bee sanctuary. Beerenberg Pure Ligurian Honey is light and delicate, with a hint of caramel.
Most commercially available honey is heat-treated and filtered to keep it in a liquid state before it is bottled to meet consumer expectations. This pure honey is cold-extracted and unfiltered, assisting to preserve its flavour and quality characteristics and is therefore in a crystallised state. Crystallisation is the natural state of this honey after it leaves the hive and is a sign of absolute purity. If you prefer to consume liquid honey, just gently stand the jar (or a portion of the honey in a cup) in hot water until it clears.
Each jar of Beerenberg Ligurian Honey is presented in a stunning gift box, each with a Certificate of Authenticity personally signed by the Apiarist and the owner of Beerenberg. The bespoke illustration on the jar was hand-drawn by emerging South Australian artist, Tahlia Wall.
With only 2,000 jars available, this honey is strictly limited release.
