Designer Angie McCarthy creates original hand-screen-printed pieces for the home in bright, graphic colours. Silhouettes of native flowers from her mum’s South Coast jungle blend with exotic birds in a burst of colour. An op-shop tea setting in vibrant hues transforms the humble teatowel into a thing of desire.

Launched in December 2007, Materialistic’s range includes cushions, tablecloths, napkins and a soft toy for kids called ‘Scrappy’. All products are made using the best-quality natural fibres (cotton and linen). Each item is individually screen-printed by hand in the Sydney studio. With years of experience in Australian and UK graphics, decades of textile worship and a lifelong obsession with colour, Angie’s style is bright, upbeat and eye-catching.
