The creation of the patterns for Yuzen Washi papers began in the Edo period in (1603 to 1868) and the patterns were used originally for accessories in the house to enliven the interior.

This beautiful handmade piece is 30" inches long. The handstrung & knotted (just like your grandmother's pearls) Tibetan howlite beading is sky blue and the clear glass pendant is 4cm diameter. It is set with beautiful chiyogami artwork.
